Reggie Shaw was raised in Overton, Nebraska where he lived with his grandfather, a retired railroad employee.

During a year-long recovery from a near-fatal accident when he was fourteen, Reggie started watching CMT and listening to country music…..and his life changed.  He discovered Garth Brooks, country music and his life’s dream.

While still in high school, Reggie entered the highly-regarded Colgate Country Showdown for the first time and competed at the state level.

Also while still in high school, he sang "The River" by Garth Brooks in front of five thousand people at a graduation ceremony. In two years, the size of his audience would increase to thirty-five thousand when he performed in Kansas City at the FFA National Convention.

These performances fueled his enthusiasm and led him to Nashville after graduation. Struggling to open his door to success in country music, Reggie did what so many before him have done; he played at well-known downtown Nashville venues such as Tootsies, Fiddle and Steel, and The Stage.

Following his grandfather's death in March of 2010, Reggie decided to move back home to Nebraska to be closer to his family.

In June of last year Reggie entered the Colgate Country Showdown for a second time.  After success at the local and state levels, Reggie went on to win the Midwest Regional Finals.  His next competition will be the National Colgate Country Showdown at the Grand Ole Opry.

Among other honors Reggie’s talent and voice – which has been compared to a great mix of Ronnie-Dunn-meets-Garth-Brooks – landed him a spot in the Nebraska Country Music Hall of Fame.

Reggie and his grandfather's dreams are finally coming true...
